2019 Sets Another Record Breaking Season

Each year, it seems like we give away more and more money to the communities that our shows are located. This is a great problem to have because that means people enjoy the shows that we plan and usually invite their friends. We urge everyone to invite at least one of their friends to come out to the shows.

Eureka Springs Mustang Week

There were over 250 cars at the show which is a record breaker for this club. Checks that were presented are Eureka Springs Community Center for $700.00, The Flint Street Food Pantry received $2500.00. The Grassy Knob Volunteer Fire Department received $4,400.00. There is a donation to be given out soon to another organization for $855. The total donations for this show is $8,455 which shattered the record for last year.

Midwest Ford Fest Blue Springs

Held in downtown Blue Springs, we donated $467.00 to the Joshua Center, $1,300.00 to the Rainbow Center and $440.00 to Downtown Alive. The club helped out with the Topika KS MCA National show and they donated $2,500.00 to the club to hand out to charities. This was split 3 ways for 3 shows. The recipient for the MCA donation in Blue Springs was the Joshua Center for $833.00. This makes a total for the show as $3,040.00. While this was not a record breaker for this show, the local sponsors helped out with their donations. Thank you to all the local sponsors who supported us this year.

Hillbillies and Hotrods

The MCA donation for this event wnt to the Lova Pack Backpack Program for $833.00. This was a total of $5,345.00 which is another record breaker for this show.

Each show has a coordinator who is responsible for the activities, gathering sponsors, promoting the event, etc. But, as a club, our members help out in any way they can to help make the each show successful. When we put on a show, everything seems to run as smoothly as last show no matter the size of that event since the staff knows what needs to get done. Without their hard work, dedication and passion of everyone, it would be impossible to have each one of these events.

Here are the list of coordinators for each show.

  • Eureka Springs Mustang Days – Jeff and Julie Yergovich
  • Blue Springs Midwest Ford Fest – Al and Fran Rutherford
  • Buffalo Hillbillies and Hot Rods – Greg McKinney
  • Blue Oval Rally Hermann – Greg and Geri Howe
  • Current River Rally Salem – Randy League and Yvonne Gray

This past year, the Midwest Blue Oval Club has helped twenty two (22) charities in five different communities of various sizes and in two states. The total amount of all the donations combined is $24,000.00. This has been the most successful show seasons so far for the club and we could not have done it without all the sponsors that supports each show and the people who came out to show their vehicles and support our efforts to help the communities.

With all the shows combined, the attendance of participants was up for the whole year even though we had some weather related challenges. The attendance for all the shows was up to over six hundred registered participants which is another record in our books.

The Midwest Blue Oval Club wants to personally thank you for the most successful year to date. So please come out to one or more of our shows next year so we can thank you in person.

The shows for the 2020 season has not been announced except for the Eureka Springs Thunder on the Mountain MCA national show. Dates and times for the rest of the shows will be published soon. Stay up to date with each show on our Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/MidwestBlueOvalClub and on our website at www.MidwestBlueOval.Club.
