The Midwest Blue Oval Club will be hosting a car show and arts and crafts show on September 10th at the Dent County Courthouse square. Like previous shows, there will be a lot of activities going on during the and after the show and for the adults and kids.
7:30 am: Arts, craft, food vendors set up. Vendor space still available:@$25. If you are a school or student group…there is no charge.
8:00 am: Registration for cars, trucks, tractors, Open to anything you feel like showing off. Not just a Ford show! Open to anything (free event t-shirts to the first 20 entrants)
10:am: National Anthem performance by the Salem High School Marching Band, Starting show ceremony and special announcements, followed by more music.
11 am: Music by Highway 32 Bluegrass by Randy Hubbs and the gang.
11:45 am: Special performance by Linda Maledy and her dancing students from her acadamy.
12:15 pm: Enjoy the sounds of Second Time Around Band.
1:45 pm: Raffle drawing for the famous Moonlight Madness guitar (Proceeds to benefit The Scholarship That Rocks) need not be present to win. Tickets Currently available at Lucky Me Music and Retail Store on the corner of 4th and Main streets.
2:00 pm: Ticket drawing for four (4) tickets to the Cardinal vs Reds game September 27. These are infield box seats valued at $143 each.
Tickets for the drawing will be made available only during the Current River Blue Oval Rally. $1 donation will recieve one ticket, a $5 donation will recieve 6 tickets and a $20 donation will recieve a string of tickets the lenght of a car that we choose on display. Must be present to win!!! The tickets are courtesy of Town and Country Bank and all proceeds will go to the general fund of the event to benefit local charities.

Saturday evening: Open cruise base from Scoops parking lot with a DJ playing the oldies but goodies with a drawing for 4 more Cardinal tickets (courtesy KSMO radio). To receive a chance to win the tickets, we will collect 3 items of non-perishable food items for The Shepard’s Nook Food Pantry. Every three items donated receives another chance to win. If you bring a case of 24 items you will receive 10 chances to win. The drawing will be at 9:00 pm so let’s fill a truck or two with food.
Sunday Afternoon: 12:30 pm meet at the Courthouse square to begin a cruise to the new Echo Bluff State Park for a picnic style lunch. This is free to the public! All you have to do is sign up
Saturday during the event so we know how many burgers and dogs to have ready. The picnic is courtesy of Jamie Schwartz, Schwarts Salvage and TAC (The Auto Connection).
